# create-a-room

Temp Voice

Join one channel, get a voice room of your own. It disappears when everyone leaves.

Set it up

  1. In Discord, create a voice channel to act as the hub, something like “➕ Create a room”.
  2. In the dashboard, add it as a hub. Optionally pick a category for the new rooms, a name like {user}’s room, and a user limit.
  3. Join the hub. Nolvyn makes your room and moves you into it.

What the owner can do

The member who made the room can rename it, lock it, set a limit and move people, all from Discord’s own channel settings. When the last person leaves, the room is deleted.

Join the hub again while your room still exists and you’re moved back to it, instead of getting a second one.

Good to know

New rooms copy the hub’s permissions, voice region, bitrate and video quality. If screen shares look black, set the hub’s Video Quality to 720p in Discord and new rooms will follow.

Free servers get 1 hub, Premium gets 5. Nolvyn needs Manage Channels, Move Members and Connect.
