Getting started
Add Nolvyn to your server, turn on what you need, and leave the rest off.
Add the bot
- Click Add to Discord on the website and pick your server. You need the Manage Server permission there.
- Keep the permissions Discord suggests. Nolvyn only asks for what its modules use, and a feature quietly fails if its permission is missing.
- Open the dashboard, sign in with Discord, and choose the server.
That’s it. Utility and Settings are on from the start. Everything else waits until you switch it on.
Who can use the dashboard
Anyone with Manage Server or Administrator in a server can open its dashboard. Nolvyn checks this with Discord every time you sign in, so if someone loses the permission, they lose the dashboard too.
Every change is written to the activity log on the Overview page, with who made it.
Move Nolvyn’s role up
Discord only lets a bot hand out or remove roles that sit below its own. If you use join roles, level rewards, reaction roles or anything else that gives roles, open Server Settings → Roles and drag the Nolvyn role above them.
The dashboard tells you when a role is too high for Nolvyn, instead of failing later in Discord.
How changes reach the bot
When you press Save, the bot picks up the change within a second or two. There’s nothing to restart and no command to run.
If a module is switched off, its settings stay put. Turn it back on and it carries on where it left off.
